Clinkscales Sixth Annual Geriatric Symposium for Healthcare Professionals

By Hays Chamber on September 16, 2020

Hays, KS – Clinkscales Elder Law Practice would like to invite health care professionals that provide care to the elderly to the Sixth Annual Geriatric Symposium held completely online via Zoom the morning of Thursday October 8th and the morning of Friday October 9th.

The need for elder care is only increasing as the average age of Americans increases. Options for elder care have increased in the last decade and determining which options are appropriate and available can be overwhelming for individuals and families. This online symposium will provide current information for health care professionals to assist in navigating the options by assessing care and support needs, selecting options and identifying resources available.

Sessions will be hosted by Clinkscales’ staff members as well as other industry professionals from The University of Kansas Health System, Allied Health Career Training, LLC, Emporia State University and more. Topics include Medicaid, Medicare and Veterans Benefit programs, tips on handling grief, abuse and neglect and improving mental health, and Dementia resources.
