Leigh Purdy
Vice President of Membership
Leigh Purdy, Vice President of Membership, serves as the primary contact for all things member relations at The Chamber in Hays, Kansas. She oversees member onboarding and inquiries, benefit utilization, invoices and payments, directory updates, and job board support. Purdy also coordinates Chamber events such as Ribbon Cuttings, Groundbreakings, Chamber Chats, Catching Up events, and Business After Hours. Additionally, she provides support to the Hays Young Professionals group and plays a key role in membership meetings and retention efforts.
Purdy is a 2018 graduate of the Leadership Hays program and returned in 2024 to serve as a back-up facilitator. She is a graduate of Dale Carnegie and has completed the three-step leadership path through the Kansas Leadership Center. She currently serves as a board member for the Kiwanis Club of Hays and is the 2025–2026 President-Elect. She is also the Walk Chair for the Hays Walk to End Alzheimer's, serves on the Board Development Committee for the Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland, a member of the Ellis County Strategic Prevention Committee, and is Secretary for Wilson Home & School. In 2025, she was the winner of the Imagine Ellis County Think Tank Throwdown. Purdy is an active member of the Hays Young Professionals and continues to look for ways The Chamber can elevate member engagement and community connection.
