Leadership Hays Mission Statement
Improve and strengthen individuals and the Hays community by identifying, inspiring and involving those persons who have displayed a capacity for leadership.
Objectives
- Identify and motivate individuals who are committed to leadership and community trusteeship
- Acquaint such individuals with the community's continuing needs, challenges and resources
- Offer opportunities for participants to explore and strengthen their personal leadership competencies
- Develop a format for ongoing communication among emerging and established leaders
Each year, the Leadership Hays class creates a project that benefits children in the Hays community or surrounding area. Leadership Hays is a program of the Chamber in Hays, Kansas and is affiliated with the Kansas Leadership Center. It guides participants through the capacities needed in 21st century leaders. Leadership Hays 2024 Dates
- Wednesday, February 28th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 6th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 20th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Location TBD
- Wednesday, April 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Travel to Wichita eveing of April 21st / Conference takes place on April 22nd and April 23rd for KLC Your Leadership Edge Workshop
- Wednesday, May 1st from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 15th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 29th - Back Up Class Date from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Graduation - Friday, May 31st - noon to 1 p.m. at Rose Garden Banquet Hall & Catering
All classes will meet at the Hays Welcome Center at 2700 Vine Street unless otherwise specified.
