Maintenance Worker
Job Description:
Responsible for the day to day repairs from work orders or verbal communication from the front office, housekeeping, or guests.

- Replacing light bulbs
- Install or replace small maintenance items as needed
- Must have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, carpentry, locks and HVAC
- Turn mattresses as directed by management
- Practice safe chemical handling
- Complete tasks and assignments on daily checklist
- Wear uniform and nametag
- Maintain grounds daily
- Dump trash daily
- Assist in the unloading of deliveries and restocking storage rooms
- If carpet has stains, spot clean or shampoo the entire room and vacuum when dry
- Speak to every employee and guest you come in contact with
- Lawn mowing and snow removal
- Other associated duties as needed
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem solving skills are necessary.
A general knowledge and ability to use basic work tools and equipment is also necessary and the ability to adapt to various situations.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience:
1-3 years hotel maintenance or construction experience is preferred
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands to feel objects, tools or controls, lift boxes and possibly luggage and to talk and hear, ability to reach over your head and the ability to walk up two flights of stairs. This job also requires you to work outside in hot or cold weather.
