Divine Mercy Radio is run by a lay apostolate, serving as a Board of Directors, who is working in partnership with Church leaders. Divine Mercy Radio is dedicated to the message of truth, mercy and love as proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Its purpose is to serve as a means of evangelizing the orthodox teachings of the Roman Catholic Church through programming of EWTN and Ave Maria Radio as well as Catholic approved local programming.

of the Catholic Church. Divine Mercy Radio strives to provide educational, entertaining and spiritually enriching
programming that expresses the love and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Job Purpose:
Applicant must have an outgoing personality with the ability to solicit and work with underwriters. Creativity is a
plus especially in writing, making short videos and updating the website. Must be willing to learn radio production
and how to build and maintain daily logs. Computer experience with the ability to trouble-shoot problems is
essential. Humility is necessary in order to do whatever task is needed in a small, non-profit organization. Tasks
range from office work to climbing on roofs as well as dusting and vacuuming office space.
Key Responsibilities:
Willing to spend a quarter of work time soliciting and maintaining customer relations with underwriters
Produce underwriting, PSAs and shows as needed
Assist with ordering and installing equipment as needed
Must be able to read and help implement FCC rules and regulations
Help with various aspects to keep the station compliant with the FCC
Maintain tower sites, keep equipment clean and working properly
Be willing to share on-call duties in the event of equipment breakdowns and/or outages
Assist with program logging for all stations working with EWTN program changes
Maintain web page and re-design as needed
Maintain email addresses and web domains
Knowledge of social media and help promote station via social media as necessary
Maintain YouTube and Facebook live and social media hourly during care-a-thons.
Maintain donor data base and help generate reports
Help with office cleaning duties
Help maintain tower sites, such as spraying weeds, equipment checks, etc.
Help with mass mailings
Learn software programs associated with station and help teach future employees
Maintain scrapbook bi-annually
Help conduct equipment checks prior to care-a-thons
Attend continuing education courses or webinars when assigned or as applicable
Maintain and update equipment list as needed
Problem solving skills a must
Must be detail oriented
Must have a knowledge of the Catholic faith and a practicing Catholic
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Skills and Competencies:
Candidate must have one of the following: a Bachelor’s Degree or at least two years of experience in a field of
communication, sales or technical work. Needs to be a self-starter, able to work efficiently, able to set priorities
under pressure of deadlines, able to concentrate for long periods of time and be organized. Being an idea-
oriented, creative person will be a plus. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and able to climb ladders. Must be flexible to
accommodate station’s needs and have a valid driver’s license. Must be willing to change cell phone number to a
(785) area code. Must be able to work as a team and communicate with others in a positive and affirming manner.
