divThe Department of Teaching Innovation and Learning Technologies provides FHSU faculty with opportunities for growth as professional educators and the means to learn innovative teaching strategies for all instructional environments, physical and/or virtual. Reporting to the Assistant Provost for Teaching Innovation and Learning Technologies, the Instructional Designer actively collaborates and engages with faculty to design and build engaging online courses and instructional assessments and activities./div divnbsp;/div divAdditionally, the Instructional Designer provides guidance and support to faculty through each stage of course development. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about learning, pedagogy and technology. A key requirement of this position is the ability to consult with faculty to ensure a high-quality, high engagement learning experiences for students, incorporating regular and substantive interactions and including opportunities for collaborative learning.nbsp;emThis is an on-campus position located in Hays, Kansas./em/div divnbsp;/div divstrongMinimum Qualifications:/strong/div ul liMasterrsquo;s degree in Instructional Design/Technology, Learning Science or related discipline/li liProfessional content production and/or project management experience./li liPrevious experience in course design, development, instructional design/li liProven record of positive, collaborative working relationships with diverse colleagues, students, and faculty with different levels of technical knowledge/li liExperience taking, creating, or administering online asynchronous training./li liExcellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills/li liAbility to develop workflows and business procedures./li liProficiency in one or more learning management systems (Blackboard Learn preferred)/li /ul divnbsp;/div divstrongPreferred Qualifications:/strong/div ul liDoctoral degree in education (e.g., Instructional Design/Technology, Learning Science or related discipline)/li liTwo (2) or more years of experience with instructional design, education technology, learning spaces (online and classroom), and learning management systems/li liExtensive knowledge of instructional design theories and models, such as ADDIE, system design for instruction, Bloomrsquo;s Taxonomy, and UDL/li liOnline teaching experience in higher education/li liAssisting in planning for constant quality improvement and assessment in blended/online teaching and learning formats./li liExtensive experience working with learning design tools and platforms/li liKnowledge of how accessibility technologies and ADA/Section 504 (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements apply to online learning applications/li /ul divnbsp;/div divstrongPriority Deadline:/strongnbsp;September 24, 2023.
